Colby B. Jubenville, Ph.D.

Jubenville earned his bachelor’s degree at Millsaps College and his master’s and doctorate degrees at The University of Southern Mississippi. He currently serves as an associate professor, coordinator of the graduate sport management program, and coordinator of the doctoral program in the Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Previously, he served as the sport management program coordinator at Belhaven College and Eastern Kentucky University. At Belhaven, he also served as an assistant coach on Belhaven’s inaugural football team. At MTSU, Jubenville has conducted marketing research as part of the graduate sport management curriculum for the Tennessee Titans, the Nashville Superspeedway, and the Nashville Sounds. Jubenville’s research has resulted in over 20 refereed journal and professional trade articles and over 30 national and international presentations.

Benjamin D. Goss, Ed.D.

Goss received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Louisiana Tech University and his doctorate at The University of Southern Mississippi. Currently he serves as an associate professor in the entertainment management program within the Department of Management and the College of Business Administration at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. Goss has also taught two courses in Missouri State’s joint business degree program with Liaoning Normal University in Dalian, China. He has served as a visiting instructor at Southern Miss and has held academic appointments as an assistant professor and sport management program coordinator at Winthrop University and Clemson University. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed refereed journal articles, one book chapter, and several trade journal articles. Goss’ vita includes more than 60 professional conference presentations, including more than 30 at the international and national levels.

J. Michael Martinez, Ph.D.

Martinez earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi and received his doctorate in Human Performance with a specialization in Leisure Studies and Sport Management from Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to entering MTSU, he had an eight-year career in the fields of marketing and communications and fundraising, working as a sports journalist, athletic media relations specialist and manager of communications for a non-profit organization. He currently serves as the assistant editor for publications for the Journal of Sport Administration & Supervision and is an assistant professor of sport and fitness management at Troy University.

Bruce Lund
Public Relations Coordinator
Lund earned his bachelor’s from Hope College and is currently working on his doctorate in Human Performance with a specialization in Leisure Studies and Sport Management at Middle Tennessee State University. Prior to entering MTSU, he worked as a journalist for the Grand Rapids Press and has served in a variety of roles throughout the sport industry including work with the Nashville Sounds. He currently serves as the Public Relations Coordinator for the Journal of Sport Administration & Supervision in handling press releases and web editing.
